Warehouse Specialist Temp at Hughes Group LLC – Tacoma, Washington

Performs a variety of warehousing duties that require an understanding of the Military establishment's storage plan to include receive, unpack, arrange, store goods/merchandise, gather, pack, prepare and load goods for dispatching. Checks supplies for damage and wear, reports faults and discrepancies to relevant parties, and mark and label stock according to SOP’s. Tasks and Responsibilities: • Verifies materials (or merchandise) against receiving documents. • Noting and reporting discrepancies and obvious damages. • Routing materials to prescribed storage locations. • Storing, stacking, or palletizing materials in accordance with prescribed storage methods. • Rearranging and taking inventory of stored materials. • Examining stored materials and reporting deterioration and damage. • Removing materials from storage and preparing for shipment. • Operate hand or power trucks in performing warehousing duties. • Other duties as assigned. Qualifications: • Must pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen. • Must be able to pass a background check and attain security clearance if required. • Must be able to pass random drug testing (as required). • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Common Access Card (CAC). • Familiarity with warehouse software such as inventory management systems. • Ability to work independently or as part of a team. Education: • High school diploma or equivalent. • Knowledge of basic math and computer skills, including the ability to use inventory and logistics software. Physical Requirements: • Ability to lift or move up to 50 lbs. • Physically strong, agile, and dexterous, and undeterred by heights and adverse climatic conditions. • Ability to operate forklift proficiently to include Pallet Jack. Mental Requirements: • Ability to properly speak and have command of the language to properly explain or give instructions to staff or customers. Environmental Requirements: • May be required to work in areas where high noise hazards prevail.
