PSR Radiology in Ashtabula, Ohio at Ashtabula County Medical Center

Provides for initial contact (face to face) with radiology patients and assures that appropriate information is obtained. Obtains accurate financial, insurance and demographic data. Ensures required paperwork is complete. Performs patient scheduling tasks. Answers phones and schedules appointments, ensures patient is seen in a timely manner. Confirms appointments. Provides general clerical support, including filing, scanning and faxing. Clerically supports radiology in the delivery of quality patient care, following established standards and procedures. Other duties as assigned. This role encounters Protected Health Information as part of regular responsibilities

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

High school graduate or equivalent. Strong clerical skills necessary, including typing and computer skills. Requires strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with all age groups. Medical terminology background desired

Required Length and Type of Experience

Prior experience in Radiology or other ancillary department preferred.
