About This Position
Position Description: The HR Generalist will be responsible for a wide range of duties in a variety of HR functional areas including employee relations, benefit administration, policy implementation, and employment law compliance.
In this role, you will have a significant impact on the organization by driving employee engagement, fostering a positive work culture, and supporting the development and retention of our talented workforce. The right fit for this position is someone who is comfortable being a HR Dept of One.
Responsibilities:
- Supports the company by providing guidance on employment laws, human resources best practices, and related workforce issues that could impact business operations
- Maintains hiring, discipline, and termination practices in compliance with all applicable state and federal regulations
- Oversee the recruitment life cycle including training hiring managers on process, creating job descriptions, posting positions and reviewing applicants in our ATS, conducting phone screens, and scheduling interviews
- Manage the new hire process including pre-employment screens, onboarding (including new hire documentation/I9s/EVerify), and benefit enrollment
- Manage the employee exit process ensuring compliance and respond to any resulting unemployment claims
- Manage the benefit open enrollment process
- Administer leave policies, overseeing relevant paperwork and disability/WC cases
- Provide support to all department managers with recommendations for performance management or employee counseling
- Develop, recommend, and implement personnel policies and procedures, maintain employee handbook/playbook
- Foster employee engagement and company culture (creative company events and goal setting)
- Work with department managers to create robust training programs
- Administrator of HRIS, ATS, timekeeping, and recognition platforms
- Maintain HR metrics such as headcount, turnover rates, and employee engagement to offer insight on improvement efforts
- Responsible for ongoing compliance of maintaining employee files and associated records
- First line of support for employee requests, questions, or concerns providing excellent customer service
- Adapt to the evolving needs of the business, undertaking special projects to support the broader objectives of the organization
- Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field preferred
- A minimum of five years of generalist background
- HR certification preferred but not required
- Strong knowledge of HR principles and federal/state/local regulations
- Exceptional project and personnel management skills
- Excellent ability to multitask and prioritize
- Proficiency using HRIS and ATS systems
- Exhibit extraordinary discretion

Compensation Structure:
- Base Salary: $65,000 - $75,000
- Quarterly bonus program
- Benefits: 401(k) and a comprehensive benefits suite including Medical, Dental, Vision and Life insurance
