Findlay Food Coatings Ltd was established in 2013 to operate in the USA. Two Powder Blending sites were built in Idaho to provide Batter Coating solutions primarily to produce specialist coatings for French fries.

About the role

  • The open position of Quality Systems HACCP Supervisor is a newly created position at our company. The primary hours are Mon-Fri Day Shift (8/9 am - 5/6 pm) at our Caldwell facility and potentially one day a week at our Nampa facility. It may require some work outside of these hours, on occasion, to support the plant’s needs.

What you'll do

  • The key purpose of this role is:

    • To maintain the HACCP and food safety programs for our Idaho facilities

    • To provide quality assurance support to ensure the food products we manufacture are safe and our business is protected

    • To promote a Quality and Food Safety mindset that demonstrates our commitment to best practices

    This role primarily works in Caldwell with the on-site Quality Systems Manager but also has strong lines of communication with the Idaho Plant Manager.

    Responsibilities will include, but is not limited to, the following activities:

    • Alignment with our Strategic Plan

    • Supervision of the Quality Testing Laboratory and its personnel (we perform physical testing of batters, no microbiological testing) and providing back-up support when needed

    • Maintaining the HACCP program

    • Participating in BRC audits and supporting the daily activities needed to maintain compliance to audit and customer standards

    • Leading the HACCP-Food Safety Team with meetings and traceability exercises

    • Assisting with risk assessments, vulnerability assessments and new product launches

    • Maintaining the Raw Material and Supplier Approval Program by obtaining and monitoring documentation

    • Initiating improvements of quality assurance programs

    • Assisting and supporting the production team as needed

    • To contribute and add value to FFCL through continuous improvements of processes, systems, and practices.

    As this role is newly created, responsibilities will evolve to include other critical business needs, so we are looking for someone adaptable and willing to grow with us!

    Ability to work with MS Office (Word, Excel and Outlook) required along with a detail-oriented mindset and accurate completion of documentation. Preference will be given to someone with previous food safety experience.

    Job Type: Full-time - 90 working day probationary period.

    Please Note: as we are a food production facility, we adhere to GMP's including the wearing of hair coverings, no jewelry or watches, no fingernail polish or fake eyelashes or nails, and in the production & warehouse area, uniforms are required (we provide).

Qualifications

    • Have you completed High School or HS equivalent?

    Job Type: Full-time

    Pay: US$60K-70K
