Job Description

Focus on GSRN + GSPP Licensed CPA
  • JOB SUMMARY
    • Manages the processes and controls around accurate balance sheet accounting. Creates analyses and roll forwards to explain, at least monthly, what makes up each balance sheet account. Works with the CFO, accounting and analysis functions to ensure proper accounting and to anticipate potential accounting matters, new policies, and changes in GAAP. Prepares a monthly deck that shows account make up and basis for accounting estimates.
  • ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
    • PREPARES ASSET, LIABILITY, AND NET ASSET ACCOUNT ANALYSES
      • By compiling and analyzing account information.
    • DOCUMENTS FINANCIAL TRANSACTIONS
      • By preparing journal entries and entering account information in electronic spreadsheets and computerized accounting software.
    • RECOMMENDS ACTIONS IN ANTICIPATION OF CHANGES IN GAAP
      • By analyzing accounting options.
    • SUMMARIZES CURRENT FINANCIAL CONDITION
      • By collecting information and preparing balance sheet, cash flow, statement of operations, statement of changes in net assets, statistics and other reports.
    • SUBSTANTIATES FINANCIAL TRANSACTIONS
      • By auditing and reconciling documents.
    • MAINTAINS ACCOUNTING CONTROLS
      • By preparing, recommending and auditing policies and procedures.
    • GUIDES FINANCE ACCOUNTING STAFF
      • By coordinating activities and answering questions.
    • RECONCILES FINANCIAL DISCREPANCIES
      • By collecting and analyzing account information.
    • MAINTAINS FINANCIAL INTEGRITY
      • By following internal controls.
    • ANSWERS ACCOUNTING PROCEDURE QUESTIONS
      • By researching and interpreting accounting policy and regulations.
    • COMPLIES WITH FEDERAL, STATE, AND LOCAL FINANCIAL LEGAL REQUIREMENTS
      • By studying existing and new legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, and advising management on needed actions.
    • PREPARES GAAP, MANAGEMENT AND SPECIAL FINANCIAL REPORTS
      • By collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends.
    • MAINTAINS CUSTOMER CONFIDENCE AND PROTECTS OPERATIONS
      • By keeping financial information confidential.
    • MAINTAINS PROFESSIONAL AND TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE
      • By attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications
      • Establishing personal networks
      • Participating in professional societies.
    • CONTRIBUTES TO TEAM EFFORT
      • By accomplishing related results as needed.
  • QUALIFICATIONS:

      • Education
        • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting required
      • Work Experience
        • 5-7 years combination of public and corporate accounting experience required
      • Licenses / Certifications
        • Licensed CPA
