Job SummaryThe Gatton College of Business is recruiting for a Director of Career Services. The primary responsibility of this position is to oversee the operations necessary for the delivery of career services and professional development programming on behalf of the Graham Office of Career Management, with emphasis on services assessment, employer relations, and driving strong graduate outcomes. The Director will provide leadership for career services delivery, including but not limited to student advising, programming for a diverse domestic and international student body, and career fair coordination. Professional staff supervision will be a focal point of the position, including performance management and data-informed practices designed to maximize quality service delivery and outcomes. This position will identify and develop strong relationships with employers, faculty, alumni, students, and other complementary university program areas, and will report to the Graham Office’s Senior Director.
Educational Preference
Minimum of seven (7) years of professional experience in fields such as career services, employer relations, corporate recruitment, development, sales, or any related area that involves relationship building to support the role’s objectives and industry focused functions.

Skills / Knowledge / AbilitiesDoes this position have supervisory responsibilities? Proven experience in leading and supervising teams.
Strong interpersonal abilities with a talent for establishing and maintaining professional networks and relationships, particularly with employers and alumni networks.
Exceptional communication skills, both in writing and verbally.
Proficient in creating well-structured reports, policies, procedures, and other documentation.
Proven track record of setting and reaching goals.
Additional Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s Degree in Business, Higher Education, Counseling, Human Resources, Student Personnel, or a related field.
Experience as a Director or Associate/Assistant Director in a Career Center or similar organization.
Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, with the capability to advocate for students from diverse - and academic fields.
Extensive experience in organizing and managing recruiting events and related programs.
Familiarity with educational software and platforms such as Handshake, Symplicity, and Salesforce, with the ability to quickly learn new systems.
Deep understanding of employment trends and opportunities for business students.
Experience in evaluating curricula and making decisions based on data analysis.
Demonstrated ability to foster and sustain positive relationships and partnerships, particularly with industry and alumni networks.
Knowledge of NACE career readiness competencies and the ability to integrate them into programming and services.
