Machine Operator in Macon, Georgia at CERTITEMP, INC.

Position Description: Temp to Perm position. Will start on days but may transition to nights. The Machine Operator is responsible for operating various packaging machines and supporting equipment in accordance with operating manuals, and managing proper product flow on the line to prevent back ups and downtime.

• ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Operator shall monitor the function of the automated machines in conjunction with the machine operating manuals.
• Operator shall respond to and correct any automated alarms or emergency stoppage of the machines.
• Operator shall pay special attention to film levels to prevent film outages, insuring that the film rolls are replaced in a manner to prevent downtime.
• Operator will monitor all material inventories and report any potential shortages
• Operator shall monitor accumulation levels at discharge to manage inflow and outflow level to prevent overflow at the discharge.
• Operator will check verify all dates/item codes/batch information against incoming paperwork
• Operator will monitor all production staff to maintain efficient operations. Operator will help on the line when needed.
• Operator will fill in as needed for the Customer Service Representative.
• Operator will maintain sanitation requirements of the machines and building.
• Perform any and all preventative maintenance.
• Any other duties as directed by management.

• Must be knowledgeable of operating various packaging equipment, to include, but not limited to, heat tunnels, ink jets coding equipment, conveyors, and tray erectors.
• Must understand appropriate preventative maintenance to be performed on all packaging equipment in use.
• Good math and communication skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, to include weekends.

• High School diploma required
• Post-secondary education preferred.
• 1-3 years' work experience on an automated packaging line
