Senior Staff Accountant - Flooring Services at Flooring Services, LLC – The Colony, Texas

SUMMARY:

We are currently looking for a Senior Staff Accountant, CPA to join our team in our Dallas office. This person will manage accounting procedures to ensure the company's overall financial health. The ideal candidate has a strong background in accounting, excellent attention to detail and deep knowledge of GAAP.

OVERVIEW OF YOUR DAILY TASKS:

• Manage accounting procedures and processes – Maintain financial reports, records and general ledgers. Comfort with internal and external reporting requirements. Coordinate month-end closing including, including reconciliations.
• Ensure overall financial compliance with GAAP – Review company’s financial policies and procedures and verify conformity to GAAP. Conduct ad hoc research as needed. Prepare for audits. Advise company management on accounting treatment.
• Provide general financial guidance - Interface with both leadership and accounting staff to ensure smooth financial operations.

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE TO HELP YOU SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
• CPA is required
• Audit experience
• Deep knowledge of GAAP
• Excellent written and verbal communications
• Ability to handle information confidentially
• Familiarity with various ERPs
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Proven experience meeting deadlines
