About This Position
Qualifications:
• Associate or bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred; equivalent hands-on experience considered.
Minimum 3–7 years of experience in facilities maintenance, construction, or industrial environments. Experience using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to create, track, and close work orders, manage assets, and support reporting.Practical project management experience supporting facility or construction projects, including coordinating schedules, contractors, and budgets.Demonstrated experience coordinating vendors or leading small to mid-scale projects.Working knowledge of building systems, maintenance practices, and construction trades.Ability to read drawings, blueprints, and specifications.Strong organizational and communication skills.Comfortable working in active industrial and port environments.• Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational and interpersonal skills, including attention to detail.
• Demonstrated strength in leadership, judgment, supporting and enforcing safe work practices, and customer service.
• Excellent time management skills with a proven track record for meeting deadlines.
• Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks as needed and work with minimal supervision.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Ability to work outdoors for extended periods of time.
• Ability to sit/stand/walk for extended periods of time.
• Ability to lift/carry up to 50 lbs. required.
• Ability to work well and interact with visitors, suppliers/vendors, staff in the same department and staff from other departments.
• Must be able to work flexible schedules with the ability to work extended hours including weekends, holidays, evenings, and/or overnight shifts as required.
• Ability to travel to other Company operations when needed.
• Must have a Transportation Workers Identification Credential (TWIC) card or meet the eligibility requirements to obtain one, required.
Project management training or certification, preferred but not required.OSHA certification, preferred but not required.Experience working in maritime, logistics, or high-security facilities, preferred but not required.Working Conditions:
Regular presence in the field at properties outside the port and routine work inside port facilities. Exposure to loud environments, heavy equipment, heights, and varying weather conditions. Occasional nights or weekends during emergencies or critical project activities.
