About This Position
The Risk Management Intern will work collaboratively with our team and gain exposure to key aspects of our Risk Management department. This role provides insight into day-to-day responsibilities of the department, including construction contract review, insurance compliance, and claims processes, while assisting with administrative and data management tasks. The internship is designed to provide hands-on learning within a construction-focused risk environment under the guidance of experienced professionals.
Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesEssential duties and other responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Risk Management Exposure and Learning
- Develop a foundational understanding of construction contract terms and risk provisions.
- Shadow Risk Management team members to gain exposure to insurance, claims processes, and contract review procedures.
- Attend at least one bid preparation to observe risk evaluation during project estimating.
- Participate in a jobsite visit (as available) to observe field risk management practices.
Operational & Administrative Support
- Maintain and update risk management files and data within SharePoint.
- Support subcontractor insurance compliance tracking and documentation review.
- Assist with tracking and organizing risk-related documentation.
- Maintain compliance with Company policies, ethical standards, and business practices, and exercise discretion when viewing sensitive or confidential information.
- Complete additional assignments and special projects as requested.

Required Education and Experience
- Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Construction Management, or a related field
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, SharePoint, Outlook), and Adobe Acrobat (PDF Editing)
