About This Position

Inova Loudoun Surgery Center is currently seeking an experienced Pre-Op/PACU Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. This position is Full-Time (3x12, 6:00 a.m. - 6:30 p.m.), Day shift, no nights, weekends, or holidays. The ideal candidate will have strong experience to support both PreOp/PACU.


ABOUT US:

Inova Loudoun Ambulatory Surgery Center is a full service ambulatory outpatient facility providing cost-effective outpatient services using modern, state-of-the-art technology in a friendly and caring environment. We are located on the campus of Inova Loudoun Hospital in Leesburg, Virginia.

WORK SCHEDULE:

    Day shift only, no nights, weekends, call, or holidays
WHAT YOU'LL DO
    Care for surgical patients as they recover from anesthesiaMonitor and chart vital signs, such as heart or respiratory rate, blood pressure, or oxygen levelComfort patients as they wake; may be required to gently restrain patientsCheck surgical site for excessive bleeding or swellingEducate patients on care for the surgical wound or other post-discharge care. Cross-train to work in PreOperative area to meet the needs of the unit

EXPERIENCE YOU'LL NEED:

    One or more years of PACU/Critical Care nursing experience in an ambulatory surgery setting or acute hospitalPrior PreOp and PostOp experience in an ASC is strongly desiredGraduate from an accredited nursing institutionCurrent licensure in Virginia as a Registered NurseCurrent BLS certificationACLS/PALS certification preferred within six (6) months of date of hire
