About This Position
Process Service Specialists (PSS), headquartered in Gonzales, Louisiana, is a leading industrial services contractor providing maintenance, specialty construction, and fabrication services to the petrochemical, refining, LNG, and industrial manufacturing sectors across the Gulf Coast, with execution for mid-cap customers nationwide. Our core capabilities include mechanical and piping services, structural steel, tank repair, specialty welding, demolition, fired equipment, wastewater systems, and shop fabrication.
As part of our continued growth, PSS is expanding its fired equipment maintenance services and is seeking Account Managers focused on industrial furnaces, process heaters, boilers, and reformer/cracker units in and around the Baton Rouge, New Orleans, Lake Charles, and Beaumont markets.
The ideal candidate will have established relationships with refining, petrochemical, LNG, and industrial manufacturing owners and EPCs along with experience in developing maintenance and project opportunities, securing MSAs, contract review, scope development and estimating, and supporting project startup and execution. This role will work closely with PSS operations and leadership to grow recurring maintenance work, outages, and capital project scopes within the industrial fired equipment market.

Travel: Travel to client facilities and ongoing project sites is expected to be up to 50%. Travel to Gonzales, LA main office can be expected at least once per quarter.
Schedule: Base schedule Monday – Friday; 40 hours per week. Client and project requirements may require after hours and weekends.

Reports to: Chief Commercial Officer
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Client Relationship Management
- Serve as the primary point of contact for industrial fired equipment clients.
- Build, maintain, and strengthen strategic relationships with plant operators, maintenance managers, engineers and procurement teams.
- Conduct regular on-site visits to client facilities.
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction, addressing service needs, concerns, and compliance requirements promptly.
- Sales & Business Development
- Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities for MRO services, replacement parts, overhaul work, and equipment upgrades.
- Develop tailored proposals, quotes, and service agreements.
- Track and forecast sales performance, revenue targets, and margin goals.
- Contract & Project Oversight
- Manage ongoing service contracts, ensuring work scopes, schedules, and deliverables align with client requirements and compliance standards.
- Coordinate with internal operations, field technicians, fabrication teams, and procurement to ensure timely delivery of parts and services.
- Review and monitor job costs, change orders, and service documentation.
- Oversee equipment repairs, rebuilds, and installation projects to ensure they meet quality and safety standards.
- Technical & Operational Support
- Provide technical guidance related to installation, maintenance, and repair to fired equipment.
- Assist clients with troubleshooting equipment failures, recommending repair vs. replacement options.
- Conduct facility assessments to identify inefficiencies, failure risks, and opportunities for equipment upgrades.
- Collaborate with OEMs, distributors, and internal engineers to ensure accurate recommendations and solutions.
- Compliance, Safety & Documentation
- Ensure all work adheres to industry regulations (OSHA, API, ASME, etc.).
- Maintain accurate records of service visits, inspections, orders, and maintenance outcomes.
- Participate in safety meetings and maintain a strong focus on compliance and environmental protection.
- Market & Industry Knowledge
- Stay current with trends in fired equipment technologies, regulatory changes, equipment advances, and MRO best practices.
- Monitor competitor offerings, pricing, strengths, and market presence.
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and trade association meetings.
Requirements:
- 7+ years of combined experience in the industrial fired equipment industry
- Strong knowledge of all applicable standards and regulations such as OSHA, API, ASME, etc.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Speak, read and write the English language
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Maintain confidentiality related to company and employee records
- Proficient in computer operation and cloud-based file maintenance
- Proficient in MS Excel, MS Word, MS Outlook (email), Adobe Acrobat (pdfs)
Preferred:
- 10+ years of combined experience in the industrial fired equipment industry
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management or related field
