Sterile Processing Technician Lead at Central Peninsula Hospital – Soldotna, Alaska

POSITION SUMMARY: Under the direction of the Sterile Processing Supervisor, the Lead Sterile Processing Technician oversees the operational functions of the Sterile Processing Department (SPD). This role ensures the efficient and accurate processing of instruments and equipment critical to Surgical Services and other clinical departments. The Lead Technician fosters a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting teamwork and exceptional customer service. Responsibilities include overseeing daily SPD operations, coordinating staff schedules and assignments, managing biological testing, maintaining inventory sheets, addressing the needs of the surgical schedule, and facilitating instrument repairs.

REQUIREMENTS:

• High School Diploma or GED,
• One year SPD Experience
• One year SPD Experience at CPH
• BLSP within 30 days
• CRCST Certification within One year of employment

PREFERRED:

• One year Supervisory Experience
• Certified Endoscope Reprocessor with Approved Agency
