Position Description:

Regional Director of Operations

Are you a strategic leader who thrives at the intersection of operations, behavioral health, and system-level impact?

We’re seeking a Regional Director of Operations to lead the expansion, oversight, and successful performance of jail-based Incompetent to Stand Trial (IST) programs across an assigned region. This role plays a critical part in scaling services, strengthening partnerships, and ensuring program fidelity, compliance, and outcomes across multiple facilities.

What You’ll Do

  • Oversee the development, implementation, and ongoing success of jail-based IST programs within the assigned region.
  • Lead planning efforts for new and expanding programs, including site visits, space assessments, and staffing matrix development.
  • Serve as a key liaison to facility partners, providing consultation, guidance, and operational support.
  • Train, develop, and supervise assigned staff, ensuring alignment with program standards and contract requirements.
  • Educate staff and stakeholders on IST program concepts, workflows, and expectations through hands-on implementation support and ongoing monitoring.
  • Monitor outcome data, program performance, and treatment timeliness to ensure contractual compliance and quality standards are met.
  • Provide on-site support as needed, including traveling to cover staffing gaps or support new program launches.
  • Consult with site-level clinical and operational staff and recommend treatment plans as appropriate.
  • Support local and regional leadership with technical expertise related to performance improvement initiatives.
  • What We’re Looking For

    Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing, health administration, business administration, or a related field (required)
  • Master’s degree in a mental health–related field (preferred)
  • Experience

  • One (1) year of experience in a related field (required)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (required)
  • Licenses & Certifications

  • Client-mandated certifications and/or training (required)
  • Licensed in the state where work will be performed (preferred)
