Cold Storage Supervisor

We are seeking a dedicated and hands-on Cold Storage Supervisor to oversee operations in our cold storage facility. This role is vital to ensuring the efficient and accurate handling of products in a challenging environment. The ideal candidate will thrive in a physically demanding setting, demonstrate exceptional attention to detail, and work collaboratively with logistics and production teams to meet customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

- Supervise daily cold storage operations, including loading and unloading of products

- Maintain organization and FIFO of incoming products from production floor

- Manage a diverse team, prioritizing various tasks simultaneously

- Ensure accurate and timely loading of trucks, managing last-minute changes to customer orders

- Maintain strict attention to detail to prevent errors and ensure product integrity

- Work closely with logistics and production teams to coordinate activities and optimize workflow

- Operate forklifts and clamp-trucks safely and efficiently, with in-house certification

- Take part in physical tasks such as lifting milk cases weighing approximately 50 lbs and dragging stacks of milk weighing around 300 lbs, leading the team by example

- Maintain cleanliness and safety standards within the cold environment

- Monitor inventory levels and assist with stock organization, complete and submit scheduled inventory counts

- Contribute to positive company culture by supporting team members meaningfully

Skills and Qualifications:

- Proven experience in a cold storage or warehouse environment preferred

- Ability to work in cold, wet, and physically demanding conditions

- Must be able to lift heavy loads (up to 50 lbs) and drag large stacks (up to 300 lbs)

- Willingness to obtain valid in-house forklift and clamp-truck certification

- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills

- Strong communication skills; bilingual ability is preferred (English & Spanish)

- Ability to work effectively under pressure and adapt to last-minute changes

- Reliable, responsible, and safety-conscious with a positive attitude

- Strong math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division

- High school diploma at least 5 years of experience leading a team in a similar environment preferred
