At Merrimack Health, we are committed to pay transparency and equity. The hourly rate range is $70.00 to $90.00.

Your final base salary will be determined based on your education, experience, licensure, and internal equity considerations. Offers are typically made below the top of the range to support future salary growth.

Merrimack Health is the newly unified regional health system formed through the 2024 integration of Lawrence General Hospital with the Holy Family Hospitals (Methuen and Haverhill campuses). As of October 1, 2024, these three campuses operate together as one coordinated, mission-driven system: Merrimack Health Lawrence Hospital, Merrimack Health Haverhill Hospital and Merrimack Health Methuen Hospital.

Position Overview:

Merrimack Health is seeking a skilled psychiatric advanced practice provider to join our inpatient psychiatric team full time (40hrs/ week). This role consists of providing psychiatric care for geriatric patients in a busy community-based hospital. The advanced practice provider will practice at Merrimack Health Lawrence, Methuen & Haverhill Hospitals. This is an excellent opportunity for an advanced practice provider who values teamwork, community impact, and high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities:

  • Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care.
  • Rounding daily on inpatient behavioral health patients.
  • Attending inpatient safety huddles as well as behavioral health huddles.
  • Perform comprehensive psychiatric examination of patients.
  • Order, perform and/ or interpret the results of diagnostic tests.
  • Diagnose and treat acute, episodic or chronic psychiatric illnesses.
  • Utilize evidence-based screening tools and diagnostic criteria to formulate comprehensive treatment plans.
  • Provide direct counseling as indicated.
  • Aid in pharmacologic management and monitoring of behavioral health patients.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Graduate of an accredited physician assistant / nurse practitioner program with
    Certification and specialization in psychiatry.
  • Eligible for medical licensure in the state of Massachusetts.
  • Demonstrated commitment to community-based, equitable, culturally competent care.

Preferred:

  • Geriatric psychiatry experience preferred.
  • Active licensure in the state of Massachusetts.

Schedule:

  • Merrimack Health Lawrence and Methuen Hospitals: 40hrs/ week (Full-time)
