Bring your purpose.Lets shape the future of General Dynamics Land Systems together.Responsibilities:Access / Navigate DNC software to load programs into CNC machinesAccess / Navigate Oracle to find tooling and components.Access / Navigate computer system to find part & assembly drawingsCreate a basic Microsoft Excel Spreadsheet with Basic FormulasCreate a basic Microsoft Power Point presentationCommunicate progress and obstacles via E-MailThe ability to write work instructionsDevelop, and establish manufacturing process, primarily machiningDesign work holding devices in 3D CADCreate 2D drawings from 3D modelsSelect Tooling, Feeds, & Speeds for machining Aluminum, Armor, etcWrite CNC Machine Tool Programs in a CAM system 2, 3, 4, 5, & 7 Axis machinesEstablish Assembly processes and proceduresImplement continuous improvement IdeasOther duties as requiredSystems used at GDLS Scranton include but not limited to:PTC Creo 5 for 3D Modeling and 2D DrawingsPredator for DNC Storage and CommunicationOracle for Business SoftwareGibbs CAM for CNC ProgrammingMicrosoft Excel, Power Point, Word, & Outlook for documentation and communicationPosition RequirementsHigh School Diploma minimum with relevant conventional and CNC machining experience, Associate degree in Engineering preferredTechnical training in related fields a plusComputer skills, email, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, 3D CAD (Creo a plus), CAM (GibbsCam a plus)Experience with 3D modeling software; experience with Pro-E (Creo) is a plus (Preferred)Personal time management and organizational skillsAble to perform problem solving and root cause analysisGood communication skills, oral, written, & visualMust be a US Person
