About This Position

Fish Camp and Outdoor Activity Attendant:

Managed by Montage International, Spanish Peaks is a private community situated on 3,500 acres nestled at 7,700 feet in stunning Big Sky, Montana. We are about 40 miles away from Bozeman, Belgrade, and West Yellowstone, MT.

SUMMARY:

The Fish Camp and Outdoor Attendant position with work with multiple Spanish Peaks departments to ensure smooth operations and cleanliness of the Fish Camp, our Horseback Riding Corral area, and our Tennis Courts. This position will fall under the Youth & Outdoor Adventures Department and will be responsible for maintaining clean amenity space while being on-hand to assist members with requests related to each area.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS, although are not limited to:

  • Ability to promote a positive image and display a pleasant and upbeat personality during all member and guest interactions.
  • Maintain high standards for safety, security, and confidentiality of guests, members, and children is of the utmost importance.
  • Maintain privacy of members and guests in accordance with exclusive club operations.
  • Be able to operate independently with minimal supervision.
  • Be able to create positive member experiences through effective communication and approachability.
  • Maintain industry standards for safety, risk management, and emergency action specific to outdoor activities.
  • Responsible to set and reset equipment, lawn games, lawn chairs, and picnic equipment at the various locations.
  • Wipe down all surfaces (tables, benches, chairs, grills).
  • Rake gravel.
    • Prep fire pit area
    • Wood Fire: clean out ashes to be discarded safely, reset logs, set up fire starting materials
  • Gas Fire: clear any debris from area, check propane levels, test start
  • Remove trash from bear-proof bin.
  • Check equipment and stock in bear-proof bins and make note of anything that needs restocking for next trip down.
  • Ensure all associate-only areas are locked.
  • Check Port-a-Potties for any necessary restock, such as toilet paper.
  • Make note of any damage, missing equipment, or issues left by previous visitors.
  • Ensure water bottles are staged at the Horse Corral.
  • Tennis Hut area:
    • Maintain water bottles
    • Maintain organization and cleanliness of equipment
  • Quickly report any safety or wildlife hazards to supervisors
  • Ability to coordinate with other departments on scheduling and events.
  • Provide support to other departments during special events

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High Diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to work with members and guests of all ages
  • Current First Aid/AED/CPR certification or willingness to obtain after hire, company can provide
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills. Fluency in English
  • Highly organized and flexible
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to communicate and relate to people from diverse backgrounds and cultures
  • Self-starter; able to carry out diverse duties with minimal supervision
  • Knowledge of hotel, resort and/or club operations preferred
  • Valid U.S. Driver’s License with good/clean record; must be at least 18 years of age to drive company vehicles and golf carts
  • Able to work a flexible schedule including weekend and holidays
  • Must be able to pass a criminal background check, drug screening, and motor vehicle driving check

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

While performing the duties of the job, the Attendant is required to be physically active for up to 8 hours a day. Required to drive company vehicle, stand, walk, handle or feel objects, stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk, hear, reach with hands and arms and balance. The associate must regularly lift and or move up to 50 pounds and sometimes lift and/or move up to 60 pounds. Most activities will require working outdoors, which may be in inclement weather. This is a highly active position.
