Position Summary:

We are seeking a talented and motivated Sous Chef to support our Chef in managing all kitchen operations. The ideal candidate will assist in menu planning, food preparation, and supervising kitchen staff, ensuring high-quality meals and a safe, clean, and efficient kitchen environment. This position will work 9:00am-5:30pm, with occasional evening and/or weekend events

Key Responsibilities:

- Assist the Executive Chef in planning and executing daily menus.

- Prepare and cook meals according to established recipes and quality standards.

- Supervise, train, and mentor kitchen staff, ensuring efficient workflow.

- Maintain inventory, order supplies, and monitor food costs.

- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards.

- Collaborate with dietary staff to accommodate special dietary needs.

- Monitor kitchen equipment, cleanliness, and maintenance.

- Contribute to creating a warm, welcoming dining experience for residents.

Qualifications:

- Proven experience as a Sous Chef or similar role in a professional kitchen.

- Culinary degree or equivalent certification preferred OR 3-5 years of high-volume culinary experience.

- Strong knowledge of cooking techniques, food safety, and sanitation practices.

- Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.

- Passion for working with seniors and creating memorable dining experiences.
