Strategic Outcomes of this Position
The senior pastor will maximize his impact and influence through Bridgeway Community Church and globally by having all operational and administrative details proactively managed by his Senior Executive Project Manager.
Duties, Responsibilities, and Requirements
The duties, responsibilities, and position requirements must be executed with the highest degree of discretion and confidentiality.
General Meeting/Event Management
- Manage Dr. Anderson’s calendar as his primary scheduler for all meetings while guarding requested block-out times
- Maintain ample downtime between calendar commitments and schedule meal breaks
- Ensure travel arrangements are made and communicated to the Sr. Pastor in advance and on the day of/before the commitment
- Prepare agenda, talking points, research, and information from previous meetings and send them to Sr. Pastor in advance of the meeting for review the day of/before the meeting
- Identify for each event the role the Sr. Pastor will have (speaking, hosting, attending)
- Provide context for meetings as appropriate; determine if there will be opportunities for key connections with other attendees (Public/political/entertainment/ influencers, etc); Determine if press will be present at the event/activity
- In collaboration with the Director of Public Relations, develop presentations, handouts, and digital and print material for meetings
- Debrief all meetings and identify follow-up action steps and commitments for the Sr. Pastor
- Conduct daily briefings in the morning and each afternoon to prepare for the current day, time-sensitive items, and the remainder of the weekly schedule and commitments
- Research relevant history, pertinent political points, key people, and relevant biblical scripture applicable to each engagement; provide a summary at least 48 hours in advance of the event
- Provide hospitality support for activities and events hosted by Dr. Anderson, ensuring a welcoming and well-coordinated experience for all guests
- Prepare, reconcile, and submit expense reports on time
- Other additional and/or alternative duties as assigned from time to time
Elder/Clergy/Board Meeting Support
- Coordinate food as appropriate/requested
- Inform Dr. Anderson of any members who will be present, absent, late, or will leave early
- Procure all supplies needed for the meetings (Chart paper, books, coffee supplies)
- When requested, type minutes and store in an accessible online drive (excluding Elder meetings)
- Identify and communicate follow-up action steps for Dr. Anderson and all meeting participants (excluding Elder meetings)
Community and Non-Bridgeway Board Meeting Support
- Ensure Dr. Anderson knows the location of the meeting and/or if it will have a virtual component
- Ensure Dr. Anderson knows the expectations for dress at the meeting
- Provide any information, details, research or preparation needed for the meeting
Radio Show Support
- Provide support for live daily radio show as needed, including coordination, preparation, research, and real-time execution support
Sunday Hospitality Management
- Review guests who will be attending each Friday prior to Sunday
- Coordinate with the Director of Public Relations to ensure guests will be greeted, credentialed, and seated as appropriate
- Ensure the caterer knows how many guests to prepare for and any dietary preferences/restrictions
- Confirm that the hosting location (Exec. Conf. Rm or Sr. Pastor’s Office) is cleaned and prepared for guests
Sunday Message Support
- Assist with research for the sermon series
- As sermon notes are distributed, be attentive to materials that Dr. Anderson has developed that might support the message/sermon series
- Ensure Sr. Pastor is aware of announcements associated with the message/service
- Communicate with individuals/ministries who may be mentioned in the message so they are prepared to engage with the congregation
- Confirm that any website links that are mentioned in the message are working properly
- Ensure Dr. Anderson is aware of any creative elements that are planned and how they tie to the sermon topic
Sunday Operation Support
- Provide a summary sheet with the following information:
- The name of the security detail
- The person who will be driving the secondary car between campuses.
- The name of the Clergy on Call
- Coordinate the limo driver between campuses
- Organize Dr. Anderson’s notes after each service
- Coordinate mic and sound check
- Communicate any last-minute changes or updates to the sermon with the service director
- Ensure fans and lights are adjusted properly
- Confirm that any props Dr. Anderson needs are available
Speaking/Consulting Management
- Review the Speaker Request Form to ensure details are specific and complete
- Identify and communicate the purpose and intended outcomes for the engagement
- Provide a one-page overview for Sr. Pastor that includes the following:
- Previous requests/appearances
- Potential social and/or professional connections associated with the requesting organization or location
- Requested role (Hosting, speaking, attending)
- Brief biography of the organization
- Budget
- For approved requests:
- Execute contract
- Maintain a secure record of contacts and contracts
- Secure financial deposits of honorariums/ love offerings and maintain proper records
- Communicate speaker needs with host and manage expectations of speaker obligations (Class for flights, hotel room preferences, meal expenditures)
- Coordinate and manage tasks for each of Dr. Anderson’s support team
- Determine if the radio show will be impacted and make arrangements if Dr. Anderson will not be able to host the radio show
- Identify calendar conflicts and reschedule as needed
- For denied requests:
- Connect people/organizations with other resources from BCC and GG
- Maintain a record of requests
Communication Management
- Review email, text, WhatsApp, and other communication sources and flag messages that need timely responses
- Archive messages when appropriate
- Maintain the computer drive/ email in a condition that ensures ample room for storage and continued communication
- Review communications for grammar and punctuation accuracy
- Draft, review, and submit communications on behalf of Dr. Anderson
- Plan and facilitate monthly Kitchen Cabinet meetings
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Ability to manage highly confidential information
- Demonstrated advanced working proficiency in Google Suite and Microsoft Suite, Planning Center, Canva, and other administrative tools as needed, including project management tools such as Basecamp and expense reporting platforms such as Expensify
- Actively manage and leverage social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, Twitter, Instagram) to support communication and engagement objectives as needed.
- Confidently operate and facilitate virtual meeting platforms (e.g., Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams), ensuring seamless execution of virtual engagements
- Demonstrate advanced strategic planning and coordination skills, with the ability to anticipate needs and align logistics with broader objectives
- Exhibit clear, concise, and effective verbal and written communication skills across diverse audiences
- Demonstrate strong computer literacy and user interface navigation skills, with the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies

Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. Professional dress is expected. This role uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines
Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, use hands and fingers, and reach with hands and arms. The position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies up to 35 pounds.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. The workday schedule will vary but includes Sundays. Early morning support may be required on Thursdays and other times as needed.
Travel
Travel is primarily between Owings Mills and Columbia Campuses; however, some out-of-area and overnight travel may be required.
Education and Experience
- College Degree preferred
- 2 - 5 years in a faith-based organization
- 2 - 5 years of project management or executive assistant experience
