About This Position

Description:

Summary: Order and keep up with safety stock of Raw materials for Varicel 1,RF, Astrocel 1, Perform daily cycle counts and adjustments in SAP, Updated Sales Order Notes and Nuclear Order Notes, Provide Quotes for Orders, Communicate with CSR’s, Communicate with sales rep’s and provide timely feedback on quotes and questions, Create Schedule for Varicel dept 3 times a week, Create Schedule for Astrocel dept 1 time a week, Additional tasks as instructed by PIC manager or to support production and WH team.

Requirements:

Job Skills

o Schedule production orders for the most efficient production lines available to meet required due dates

o Establish priorities and revise schedule when necessary

o Conduct daily scheduling meetings with Production and Plant Manger to confirm filling schedule.

o Works with Production Manager to adjust staffing levels of production lines to satisfy customer requirements

o Verification of raw material availability prior to releasing production orders

o Generation and maintenance of production orders

o Works with the Inventory Analyst to communicate/expedite needed materials to avoid raw material shortages from the supplier

o Provides status on a timely basis to Customer Service, Plant Manager and/or Sales & Operations management on any customer-related plant demand or supply issue

o Communicates to Shipping and Production departments on any finished product statuses including shortages and expected completion

o Reschedules and reacts to situational changes effecting established production schedule.

o Works with Production Manager to Manage expedites as driven by customer demands

o Assists SIOP Planner on target inventory levels of finished goods as needed to level load product lines to satisfy customer service levels, while minimizing inventory hold costs

o Assists Inventory Analyst and SIOP Planner in forecasting process

o Works to ensure that raw material and finished goods inventory levels are in accordance with SIOP planner direction

o Assist in the implementation of improvements related to scheduling and raw material & finished goods inventory levels

o Work to continually improve the process

Experience

o Excellent work ethic and a positive professional attitude

o bachelor's degree or experience equivalent

o 2 years related experience in production scheduling or purchasing, in a manufacturing environment

o Must have a working knowledge of inventory control and scheduling

o Must possess a working knowledge of the production flow and processes

o Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills

o Demonstrated analytical ability

o Must be proficient in the use of MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS Word

o Working knowledge of SAP or MRP systems required

o Ability to self-start and work without close supervision, understanding what needs to be done and taking the required actions to maintain production

o Lean Experience

o Ability to work with others in a team-oriented environment

o APIC’s training a plus

o Encourage safe behavior
