Legacy is recruiting an Outpatient Advanced Practice Practitioner for our Silverton Family Medicine Clinic, located at 355 Fairview St., Silverton, OR (Qualifies for Legacy’s Special Location Allowance stipend). LMG Silverton is a Rural Healthcare Clinic (RHC) situated on the Silverton Medical Center campus, which has been serving this region for over 100 years. Other providers in this clinic include physicians and APPs.

Silverton is a vibrant community located one hour south of the Portland Metro in the beautiful Willamette Valley. Our primary care providers are supported by individually assigned MAs as well as care teams that can include panel coordinators, social workers, RN case managers, and behavioral health clinicians and pharmacy.

Our clinics support the local communities by providing services to diverse patient populations. With more than 25 clinics across the Portland metro area and rural locations such as Silverton, Keizer, Sandy and St. Helens, Legacy is helping keep the Pacific Northwest healthy.

Experience:

Requires experience in direct patient management in a primary care setting. Requires knowledge of professional medical practice and care to provide and evaluate patient care. Requires skill in applying and modifying the principles, methods and techniques of medicine to provide ongoing patient care. Must have excellent communication skills, both verbally and written. Requires proficiency with basic computer skills, knowledge of acute and chronic disease states, administration and prescription of medications, and delivering physical care following a treatment plan.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the patient throughout the course of treatment, including reviewing clinical history, providing the physical examination, making the diagnosis, and treating both chronic and episodic disorders.
  • Work in collaboration with the team and seek the advice of a team physician whenever a case falls outside the scope of expertise.
  • Maintain own panel of patients and share call coverage for the clinic.

Qualification and Licensure Requirements

  • Graduate of certified Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program.
  • Minimum of 2-years’ experience.
  • Current Oregon PA or NP license w/Prescriptive Privileges.
  • Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
