Aimbridge Corporate - Information Technology Security Manager

Job Summary

Looking for an experienced Security Manager, you will be responsible for safeguarding the organizations IT infrastructure by deploying and managing security tools and technologies Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR), Email Security, Security Information and Event Management (SIEM), Privileged Access Management (PAM), and firewall solutions.

The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience in managing and integrating key security systems, collaborating closely with internal teams to ensure network and systems remain secure, compliant and resilient. A strong understanding of security architecture and engineering will be essential for success in this role.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience: 48 years of professional experience in cybersecurity, including hands-on experience with EDR, SIEM, PAM, Email Security and security monitoring
  • Technical Proficiency: Practical knowledge of cybersecurity tools, threat detection, and response strategies.
  • Certifications: Industry certifications such as Security+, CySA+, or equivalent are preferred.
  • Incident Handling: Proven experience responding to and managing cybersecurity incidents.
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to assess complex technical security issues and provide practical mitigation strategies.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, especially in articulating security issues to cross-functional teams.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms and security best practices (e.g., Azure, AWS).
  • Scripting or automation experience to improve security operations.
  • Understanding of network security architecture, VPNs, and IDS/IPS technologies
  • Experience working with third-party vendors in a managed security services model.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • EDR Management & Enhancement: Manage and continuously improve Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) tools to detect, investigate, and respond to security threats across the organization.
  • SIEM Oversight & Vendor Management: Act as the primary liaison with our third-party SIEM provider to ensure effective monitoring, alerting, and log management. Drive accountability for timely detection, escalation, and resolution of security events.
  • Privileged Access Management (PAM): Maintain and enhance Privileged Access Management systems to enforce secure access control over critical infrastructure and sensitive data.
  • Firewall Auditing & Monitoring: Regularly monitor and audit firewall configurations and logs to ensure alignment with organizational security policies. (Note: IT Operations owns direct firewall administration.)
  • Email Security: Manage and optimize email security tools to protect against phishing, malware, and other email-borne threats.
  • Security Monitoring & Reporting: Leverage data from SIEM, firewalls, EDR, and other tools to maintain visibility into the security posture. Identify threats, vulnerabilities, and trends through real-time and scheduled reporting.
  • Incident Response: Lead or support incident response activities, including investigation, containment, eradication, recovery, and root cause analysis. Develop and maintain incident response playbooks.
  • Security Strategy & Execution: Collaborate with security leadership to support and execute the broader cybersecurity strategy, ensuring alignment with business needs and evolving threats.
  • Compliance Execution: Enforce compliance controls and security requirements as defined by the CISO and Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) leadership.
