Job Description

OBJECTIVE AND POSITION SUMMARY

The CPLC Nahui Ollin Wellness Program is based on the premise of La Cultura Cura, “Culture Heals”. We believe that by fostering youth engagement and leadership development our communities can strive for holistic wellness. Through culturally responsive practices, we can build a foundation for justice and healing. Nahui Ollin has been serving Tucson youth for over 25 years via in-school workshops, community service- learning opportunities, retreats and leadership conferences.

The CPLC Nahui Ollin Wellness Program Manager (NOWPM) will provide oversight of the Nahui Ollin Wellness Program, with a focus on youth leadership development, wellness programs and community/school- based youth programs. The NOWPM will be responsible for the day-to-day activities of the program’s objectives and deliverables in multiple counties (Pima, Maricopa).

PRIMARY DUTIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

· Provide comprehensive oversight of daily program operations, ensuring consistent delivery of high-quality services, adherence to program goals, and compliance with organizational and contractual requirements.

· Lead, supervise, and develop program staff across multiple counties (Pima, Maricopa), including workload management, coaching, cross-training, performance evaluation, and team development to support program excellence.

· Prepare, review, and submit all monthly, quarterly, and year-end program reports, ensuring accuracy, timely submission, and alignment with grant, contract, and agency requirements.

· Collaborate with the Family Empowerment Manager to develop, manage, and monitor program budgets, ensuring compliance with financial, grant, and organizational expectations.

· Support the Resource Development team by contributing to grant writing, proposal development, and funding strategies that sustain and advance program initiatives.

· Partner with Research & Evaluation teams to help shape and implement the program’s evaluation framework, including performance metrics, outcome tracking, and continuous quality improvement processes.

· Establish and maintain effective partnerships and linkages with schools, community organizations, funders, and other CPLC programs, strengthening coordinated service delivery and community engagement.

· Conduct regular team meetings, planning sessions, and staff check-ins, ensuring communication, alignment, and operational continuity across counties.

· Provide program facilitation and support for youth retreats, workshops, conferences, community presentations, and outreach activities, including occasional evenings and weekends as required.

· Lead or contribute to ongoing program development and enhancement, setting measurable goals, identifying emerging needs, and implementing strategic improvements to support long-term program sustainability.

· Ensure accurate and compliant administrative documentation, including service records, staff documentation, and operational files required for internal and external reporting.

· Maintain strong communication with leadership, stakeholders, and partner agencies, regularly representing the program at internal and external meetings and events.

· Support and model CPLC values, ensuring culturally responsive, youth-centered practices and alignment with the Nahui Ollin Wellness Program mission.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES

Education /Background:

· Bilingual in English/Spanish is preferred.

· Associate degree or bachelor’s degree in public health, behavioral health, youth development, education, social work/social service, or related field preferred and/or five (5) years of equivalent work experience will be considered.

· Relevant experience in the development and coordination of youth development and prevention services and family social services may be substituted for the aforementioned education equaling five (5) years

· Ability to obtain an IVP fingerprint clearance card.

Other Requirements:

· Knowledge of the stages of youth development and strength based approaches;

· Knowledge of theoretical orientations – Harm Reduction, Restorative Justice, Working with Cozamayotl (LGBTQ+) communities, Cultural Humility & Healing Centered Engagement;

· Have supervisory and coordinating experiences
