GENERAL POSITION SUMMARY

TO Live is seeking an experienced Finance Manager to join the Finance team. This position is responsible for the general ledger: preparation of journal entries for monthly general ledger close; the preparation and distribution of financial statements and reports. Maintains and balances subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, and posting journal entries, reconciling transactions, and resolving discrepancies. This position will oversee accounts payable and cash management processes.

ACTIVITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead month-end and year-end close, journals, reconciliations, and accruals.
  • Prepare and distribute monthly financial and management reports, including Budget vs. Actual analysis.
  • Oversee Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Cash Management daily functions ensuring accuracy, controls, and adherence to policy. Including staff supervision.
  • Oversight includes AP, treasury, reconciliations, and daily accounting routines.
  • Assist with completion of the monthly, quarterly, and annual regulatory filings.
  • Collaborating with the Director of Finance and Controller to assist with the annual audit process.
  • Monitor cash flow activities and requirements for the day-to-day business operations.
  • Function as key bank liaison: Coordinate and resolve various issues with bank such as cleared check differences, bank fee anomalies, targeted balance calculations, and enhancements to online services.
  • Conform with and abide by all regulatory guidance and internal policies & procedures.

General

  • Function as backup to the Controller.
  • Contribute to department and organization special projects as assigned.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the VP of Finance & Administration and/or Director of Finance.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS

  • Five to eight years of specific industry experience in cash management, show settlements, financial analysis, and financial statement preparation.
  • Completion of the Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) program an asset.
  • Strong financial system and reporting proficiency, including in-depth spreadsheet modeling.
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft office applications.
  • Excellent analytical, strong detail orientation and problem-solving skills
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Excellent planning and organizing skills to coordinate multiple priorities and deadlines.

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Flexibility in hours and schedules and include work on nights, statutory holidays and weekends as required.
  • Lack of natural light in workplace.
  • Travel between TO Live venues as required.
