Matheny Medical and Educational Center has a career opportunity available for Part Time Writing Facilitator at our Peapack, NJ facility.

Duties of this position include:

• Adheres to the philosophies and methodologies of the Arts Access program and the protocols of the writing discipline.
• Demonstrates expertise in facilitation communication.
• Assists clients in technical aspects of creating literary art.
• Communicates effectively and strive to develop a rapport with each participant.
• Maintains all relevant equipment and documentation i.e., charts, Writing Manual, computer desktop, paper files, etc.
• Remains in current practice with own writing and professional pursuits.
• Proactively researches current and new techniques, developments and methods specific to the writing discipline under the guidance and supervision of the Facilitation Coordinator/Director.
• Represents the Arts Access program and writing discipline at outside conferences and workshops.
• Cleans and organizes the workstation at the end of each shift.
• Assists and/or performs on special trips, museum visits, events, shows, and other activities as assigned.
• Assists with transportation of clients as needed.
• Assists in other areas of the Arts Access department as assigned.
• Contributes necessary data and information to annual reports.
• Documents all necessary data for clients to be able to effectively complete their work.
• Backs up all work and submit for archival purposes.
• Maintain proficiency in appropriate writing software and tools used in writing facilitation.
• Performs additional work as assigned for special events coordinated by the Arts Access Department. May be required to work additional hours for the preparation and execution of these events.

When determining a team member’s base salary and/or rate, several factors may be considered as applicable (e.g., location, specialty, service line, years of relevant experience, education, credentials, negotiated contracts, budget and internal equity).

The hourly wage for this position is $23.00 per hour.

• High School diploma or G.E.D. preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university preferred. Education may be substituted with relevant experience.
