Position summary:
-
The pharmacy practice resident (PGY-1) is a pharmacist in training who provides comprehensive pharmaceutical care through integrated drug distribution, clinical services and teaching. Residents are provided specific experiences to obtain knowledge and skills needed to become competent in pharmacy practice. The resident provides services consistent with other services provided by pharmacists at Southwest General. The resident will be provided opportunities to conceptualize, integrate, and transform accumulated experiences and knowledge into improved drug therapy and patient outcomes.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education:
-
Doctor of Pharmacy from an accredited College of Pharmacy.

Required length and type of experience:-
Hospital pharmacy experience through clinical rotations required.

Required licensure, certification or registry:-
Registered pharmacist in the state of Ohio within three months of residency start date.
