Overview

The Bilingual Mortgage Loan Processor III is responsible for processing residential mortgage loan files from origination through post-settlement delivery in compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, investor guidelines, and Univest policies and procedures. This role partners closely with loan officers, underwriters, and third-party providers to obtain and review documentation, clear conditions, monitor pipeline and lock expirations, and coordinate timely settlements while providing clear, professional communication in both English and Spanish to deliver an exceptional customer experience. Responsibilities

Ensure timely and freely processing of mortgage loan files (in compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and corporate policies and procedures) from origination through post-settlement delivery, including:

  • Review input and evaluation of the application for completeness and achievement of the applicable loan program requirements.
  • Request necessary assisting documentation to complete the process (verifications, missing documents, and third-party services (title and appraisal)) and ensure receipt.
  • Proactively communicate loan status with the customer (External – consumer, real estate agent, builder; Internal – loan officer).
  • Process loans through automated underwriting systems (LP/DU) and review findings with the underwriter(s) and loan officer, clear conditions, and note stipulations on the engagement letter.
  • Arrange loan settlements/closings; notify all related participants.
  • Monitor mortgage pipeline to meet settlement deadlines and lock expirations.

Serve as a mentor for Processor I and II positions and assist other departments and people within Univest in comprehending the various mortgage programs and processes.

Person is an Authorized Employee as defined in Univest’s IVES Policy to order Tax Transcripts.

Accountable for compliance with laws and regulations that apply to this position including the Univest Code of Conduct.

Perform other duties as assigned.



Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent and at least 4 or more years of comparable experience.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while interacting with mortgage underwriting and sales staff.

Attention to detail, metric-focused, well-organized, and conscientious.

Demonstrated ability to work and resolve problems freely.

Knowledge of real estate lending practices including: federal and state regulations and FNMA/FHLMC government and private investor guidelines.

Knowledge of MS Office Suite, Encompass, and automated underwriting systems (LP/DU).

Motivated professional who strives to exceed customer (internal and external) expectations.

Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish is required

Proficient knowledge of the Encompass Loan Origination System is required

Wage Range:

The salary for this position ranges from $25.00 - $32.00 per hour
