The Account Director will serve as a strategic partner to clients, ensuring the seamless execution of projects while driving account growth and retention. By translating client objectives into actionable plans, you will influence both strategy and delivery, while mentoring and guiding junior team members. This role requires a blend of strong client-facing skills, strategic thinking, and operational oversight, with a focus on collaboration across cross-functional teams. You will manage complex programs, contribute to business development, and foster lasting partnerships that maximize client satisfaction and long-term value. Accountabilities:
  • Lead the execution and delivery of client programs, ensuring projects are on time, within scope, and of high quality
  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with client stakeholders, serving as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts
  • Translate client goals into structured plans, providing strategic recommendations and actionable solutions
  • Identify opportunities for account growth, contributing to business development initiatives and proposal development
  • Mentor and support junior team members, fostering a collaborative, accountable, and high-performing team environment
  • Partner with internal teams (Medical, Strategy, Creative, Operations, Analytics) to ensure seamless project execution and alignment with client objectives
  • Oversee financial and operational management of accounts, including forecasting, budget oversight, and profitability tracking

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in medical communications, healthcare agency environment, or relevant client services role
  • Proven ability to manage client relationships and lead multi-project execution
  • Exposure to Medical Affairs activities such as scientific communications, congress engagement, or medical education
  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment
  • Experience mentoring or supporting development of junior team members
  • Preferred: experience in strategic planning, program development, account growth, business development, or client presentations
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact effectively with internal teams and clients
