About This Position
Job Summary:
The Engineering Intern is a developmental role designed for current college students (typically 1–3 years into an Engineering or Construction Management program). You will provide foundational support to both the Design and CAD Engineering teams while gaining hands-on exposure to the Audio-Visual (AV) integration industry. This role focuses on learning and honing professional skill sets. This internship provides a holistic view of the project lifecycle, helping you understand how engineering decisions impact real-world construction and installation. This is a temporary role as a Summer Intern.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Drafting Support: Assist CAD Engineers in modifying or creating basic shop drawings, including floor plans and site elevations.
- Documentation Assistance: Support Design Engineers in organizing Bills of Material (BOM) and updating project Scopes of Work.
- Team Collaboration: Participate in project handoffs, team meetings, and design reviews to understand the lifecycle integrated technology projects.
- Shadowing: Spend time with senior Design and Project Engineers to understand complex system architecture and client-facing engineering.
- Process Learning: Develop a working knowledge of industry-standard tools (i.e., AutoCAD, Bluebeam)
- And other responsibilities as required.
- This role reports to: Engineering Manager
Minimum Requirements
- Educational Track: Currently enrolled in a post-secondary program (Engineering, Architecture, Technology, or related field).
- Technical Exposure: Basic familiarity with modeling software (i.e., AutoCAD, Solidworks, AutoDesk, etc.)
- Communication: Ability to clearly explain your problem-solving process and ask clarifying questions.
- Mindset: A strong desire to take ownership of small tasks and a high "coachability" factor when receiving technical feedback.
Pay Rate:
$21.00/hr - this is a TEMPORARY position as a Summer Intern
