About This Position
JOB TITLE: Operations Analyst
REPORTS TO: Director of Operations
LOCATION: Portland, OR or Indianapolis, IN
SUMMARY
The Operations Analyst plays a key role in supporting tru Independence RIAs by ensuring the accuracy, efficiency, and reliability of our portfolio accounting and reporting systems. This client-facing, detail-oriented role is responsible for database setup, data integrity oversight, performance reporting, workflow development, and day-to-day support across Advyzon and Black Diamond.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Setup unique instances of Advyzon databases for onboarding firms, including all settings, branding, asset classifications, reporting templates, portal/app templates, CRM structure, investment models and trading processes, workflows, third-party integrations, etc.
· Provide training and ongoing support to RIAs on portfolio accounting systems and related tools
· Perform daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly audits to ensure data integrity for billing and reporting
· Develop and maintain procedures related to portfolio accounting system and CRM maintenance
· Set up and maintain integrations with AI tools, financial planning software, investment research programs, and other third-party applications
· Manage and resolve client support requests through the service ticketing system, using virtual communication tools (Zoom, Teams, email) to provide responsive, clear, and client-focused support
· Partner with portfolio accounting system vendors to troubleshoot issues, identify bugs, test enhancements, and advocate for product improvements
· Collaborate with other internal teams, like Billing, Compliance, Technology and Relationship Management to deliver a seamless client experience
· Identify and drive initiatives geared toward improving operational efficiency, data quality, and the client experience
· Continuously expand skills and expertise within Advyzon, Black Diamond, and related applications
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES
· Experience with portfolio accounting systems such as Advyzon or Black Diamond
· Intermediate to advanced Excel spreadsheet proficiency
· Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
· Experience with rebalancing and trading applications a plus
· Experience with Investment industry CRM applications preferred
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high attention to detail.
· Ability to manage multiple priorities and take ownership of deliverables
· Custodian experience a plus (Schwab, Fidelity, Pershing)
EDUCATION
· Bachelor’s Degree or combination of industry experience and education required
· 1+ years’ experience working in the independent financial services space
