About This Position

We’re looking for a Logistics and Warehouse Manager to lead our warehouse, shipping, and receiving operations. This role reports to the Director of Supply Chain and plays a key part in making sure materials and finished goods move safely, accurately, and on time.

You’ll lead the shipping and receiving teams, own inventory accuracy, oversee freight and documentation, and make sure we’re meeting safety, quality, and regulatory requirements. Just as important, you’ll help drive continuous improvement—finding better ways to work, reducing errors, and building a team that takes pride in doing things the right way.

If you enjoy being hands‑on, working with data to solve problems, and leading people in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment, this role may be a great fit.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead and promote a safety‑first culture in the warehouse by enforcing safety policies, OSHA requirements, and forklift certification standards; conduct regular safety audits and work to reduce incidents and near misses.
  • Oversee daily warehouse operations, including shipping, receiving, inventory control, and material handling, to ensure work is done safely, efficiently, and accurately.
  • Directly lead shipping and receiving employees by setting expectations, scheduling work, training team members, and providing ongoing feedback and performance reviews.
  • Manage shipping activities such as picking, packing, staging, and loading to ensure customer orders ship on time while working with carriers to control freight costs.
  • Oversee receiving activities, including unloading and inspecting incoming materials, verifying against purchase orders, and working with Quality to address shortages, damage, or nonconforming material.
  • Maintain accurate inventory through proper ERP transactions, cycle counts, and physical inventories, ensuring system and physical inventory stay aligned.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards, and regulatory requirements, partnering with Quality Control as needed.
  • Review warehouse and logistics metrics to identify trends and improvement opportunities related to safety, inventory accuracy, delivery performance, and cost.
  • Build a team culture focused on accountability, communication, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
  • Review and audit shipping and warehouse paperwork such as Bills of Lading, packing slips, and international shipping documents for accuracy and compliance.
  • Work closely with Production, Sales, Purchasing, and Supply Chain to align shipping priorities with production plans and customer commitments.
  • Identify process gaps or inefficiencies and lead or support Lean and continuous improvement efforts to improve flow, accuracy, and productivity.
  • Support system and process improvements, including ERP enhancements, warehouse layout changes, and standard work development.
  • Assist with managing labor, freight, and inventory‑related costs.
  • Prepare and share reports related to safety, inventory accuracy, shipping performance, and warehouse efficiency as needed.

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations Management, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • At least five (5) years of experience in warehouse, logistics, or distribution roles, with increasing responsibility and people leadership.
  • APICS certification (CSCP or CPIM) is a plus.
  • Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop teams.
  • Working knowledge of import/export regulations and DOT requirements.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards.
  • Comfortable using ERP systems, Microsoft tools, and operational reporting systems.
  • Experience applying Lean principles and continuous improvement practices in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
