Position Summary
Burke is seeking a Part-Time Vocational Specialist to support daily operations within Burke Industries. This role focuses on training and supporting client-employees through structured apprenticeship programs that include both classroom instruction and hands-on learning.

The Vocational Specialist plays a key role in ensuring client success, safety, and satisfaction while maintaining compliance with program expectations and contract requirements.

Essential Responsibilities
- Oversee daily activities and management of client-employees
- Assist with apprenticeship training programs (classroom and hands-on)
- Support client-employee welfare, safety, and engagement
- Ensure compliance with contract requirements and customer satisfaction
- Provide training and maintain accurate documentation
- Manage inventory and assist with vehicle/equipment upkeep
- Perform additional duties as assigned

Education Requirements
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent

Experience
Preferred:
- One (1) year of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities

Licensure and Certifications
Required:
- Valid Texas Driver's License
- Driving record insurable by Burke's insurance administrator
- Ability to complete SAMA, CPR, First Aid, Defensive Driving, Van Driving, and required training modules
- Basic computer skills for documentation and recordkeeping

Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to walk, bend, kneel, and perform physical tasks
- Functional vision, hearing, speech, and hand/finger dexterity
- Ability to drive a vehicle

Work Schedule
- Monday - Friday
- Up to 29 hours per week

Salary
- $12.50 per hour
