Summary:

Zapata Technology is seeking a USASOC G2 Field Service Engineer (FSE). The Field Service Engineer (FSE) provides critical technical support for the United States Army Special Operations Command (USASOC) G2 intelligence systems and platforms. This role involves on-site technical expertise, troubleshooting, and training for specialized intelligence systems supporting Special Operations Forces (SOF).

Essential Functions:

  • Provide technical support and maintenance for USASOC G2 intelligence systems in field environments
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues affecting SOF intelligence platforms
  • Install system updates, patches, and new capabilities as directed
  • Train SOF personnel on proper operation and basic maintenance of intelligence systems
  • Document technical issues, solutions, and system configurations
  • Collaborate with program management and engineering teams to resolve complex problems
  • Support system integration with other SOF and conventional military intelligence platforms

    • Job Qualifications:

    Required Qualifications and Skills include:

  • 5+ years of experience with military intelligence systems or comparable technical systems
  • Understanding of SOF intelligence analysis workflows and processes
  • Experience with Linux and Windows operating systems
  • Knowledge of computer networking principles and troubleshooting
  • Willingness to deploy to field environments and travel as needed

    • Preferred Qualifications and Skills include:

  • Prior military experience, particularly in SOF or intelligence roles
  • Familiarity with USASOC G2 systems architecture and components
  • Experience with virtualization technologies
  • Knowledge of SOF intelligence doctrine and procedures
  • Experience supporting special operations missions or exercises

    • Preferred Education/Experience include:

  • Masters degree and 12 years of experience

    • Special Requirements:

  • CompTIA Security+ or similar certifications (IAT II)

    • Working Conditions:
    Use of standard office equipment, working on site daily. May require working in various environmental conditions. Potential for deployment to austere locations.

    Position Type:
    Exempt, full time.

    Travel:
    Travel to various deployment locations as needed, including potential OCONUS assignments

    Clearance Type:

    Requires an active TS/SCI clearance
