About This Position
Job Position Summary: Responsible to Sets up machines according to assigned job using hand tools such as wrenches, socket sets and coil handling materials.
Minimum Requirements:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent, Tech School preferred
- 5+ yrs Experience with CNC Machines
- Mechanical Aptitude
- Strong attention to details
- Organizational skills.
- Basic computer skills
- Time Management Skills
- Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints and company operation sheets.
- Ability to use inspection tools such as micrometers, calipers, indicators.
- Ability to set up CNC machines according to assigned job.
- Ability to effectively communicate both written and verbally.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Ensure adherence to safety regulation and standard. Follow Safety culture and wear PPE when required.
- Sets up machines according to assigned job using hand tools such as wrenches, socket sets and coil handling materials.
- Follows procedures and information on routing sheet for each specific job.
- Assures material meets correct specifications of each job as stated on routing sheet.
- Reads and follows blueprints to meet specifications.
- Inspects first pieces for quality assurance.
- Sets machine monitoring system according to proper mode of job
- Use inspection tools such as micrometers, calipers, indicators, etc. as required.
- Observes overall operations and performs regular daily maintenance on equipment and work area.
- Operate within AS9100/ISO9001 requirements to include proper documentation, revision control, traceability, and lot control.
- Maintains production completion logs and submits to management daily.
- Reports any problems or discrepancies to immediate supervisor.
- Follow 6s Procedures and maintains a clean organized work area.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Working Conditions:
- Normal Production environments, subject to high noise levels from operating machines; physical hazards from moving equipment and sharp machine parts; breathing fumes, dust and mist; skin exposure to oil and cutting fluid; exposure to sharp metal edges, and forklifts.
- May be asked to travel back and forth between Southwick and Westfield facilities.
Physical Requirements:
- May have to lift up to thirty (40) pounds at a time, as required.
- Must be able to push, pull, reach overhead, stand, walk, climb stairs, bend and/or sit for long periods of time.
1st Shift – 7:00-3:30pm Monday – Friday
