Position Overview
The Food Runner / Barback is an essential member of the front‑of‑house team, supporting both dining and bar operations to ensure a seamless and elevated experience for members and their guests. This role requires a polished, service‑driven individual who thrives in a refined, fast‑paced environment. The ideal candidate demonstrates urgency, attention to detail, and a commitment to upholding club standards while contributing to The Medallion Club experience.
Essential Responsibilities
Dining Room Support (Food Runner)
- Deliver food from the kitchen to members and guests with accuracy, proper timing, and adherence to presentation standards
- Ensure all dishes meet club quality expectations before leaving the kitchen
- Communicate effectively with chefs and service staff regarding modifications, allergies, and timing
- Assist servers by clearing, resetting, and maintaining clean, organized tables
- Support fine dining service standards, including pacing awareness and member preference recognition
Bar Support (Barback)
- Maintain full stock of spirits, wine, beer, garnishes, mixers, and glassware
- Anticipate bartender needs to ensure efficient, uninterrupted service
- Change kegs, refill ice, polish glassware, and restock inventory throughout service
- Maintain a clean, organized, and polished bar environment
- Assist with opening and closing procedures in accordance with club standards
Service Standards & Expectations
- Provide attentive, discreet, and professional service at all times
- Maintain a polished appearance consistent with club grooming standards
- Demonstrate urgency while remaining composed and member‑focused
- Anticipate member needs and respond proactively
- Uphold the club’s culture of hospitality, respect, and excellence
Qualifications
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to excel in a high‑volume, detail‑oriented setting
- Knowledge of food, wine, and beverage service is a plus
- Ability to lift 40–50 lbs and remain on feet for extended periods
Physical Requirements
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, and carrying items
- Ability to lift and transport up to 50 lbs
- Ability to remain on feet for extended periods
- Manual dexterity and ability to perform repetitive motions

- Work may occur indoors or outdoors depending on outlet
- Exposure to varied weather conditions
