What you’ll do

Experience with DC and AC drive upgradesReview basic power system requirements for drive feeders and protectionOutline regulator performance/response based on process applicationsShare technical expertise in areas of the metals industry such as Melting, Casting or Rolling Mill applications for all project life cycles (sales, development, commissioning, and support)Support existing installed systems and assist customers with challenging technical issues through process knowledge, data analysis and implementation.Complete assignments requiring development of new and/or improved engineering techniques and proceduresInterface and communicate with local project team (project managers, engineers, support personnel) and internal experts from other areas as well customers and suppliers to provide engineering solutions to technical issues and project-related mattersMentor young engineers during project design and execution.Perform on site commissioning and training as requiredWhat you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical EngineeringExtensive experience in an engineering role in the metals or a similar industryExperience with automation, power and drive systemsExperience in automation practicesDemonstrates ability to apply engineering principles to the solution of design problemsAbility to work with minimal supervision and mentor less experienced personnelBe willing to travel to support the project workExtensive experience at data analysis and troubleshooting.Excellent oral and written communication skills as well as excellent computer skillsWhat we offer
