JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for the smooth flow of patients, visitors and employees through designated entrances to the hospital. This position will greet and direct all entering the facility. The position will also be required to escort (via foot or wheelchair) and direct patients and visitors to various areas of the facility. Position will be based at designated entrances to the hospital. The position will also provide transport of in-house patients (by wheelchair or stretcher) within the hospital to different departments for testing or return the patient back to their room. The Greeter/Transport person will also make half hourly runs of lab specimens from the Richards Building Lab to the Main Lab.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Greets all persons entering the facility with a friendly and professional demeanor Immediately greets all persons entering the facility.
- Guide Patients and visitors to their destination.
- Escorts (via foot or wheelchair) all persons entering to destinations throughout the hospital upon request.
- Receive phone calls to pick-up patients from areas of the hospital when their appointments are finished and return them to the main entrance
- Receive phone calls to bring inhouse patients (by wheelchair or stretcher) to departments for testing or return the patient to their room
- Does specimen transport from the Richards Building Lab to the Main lab.
- Provide basic clerical support.
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION:
- High school diploma or equivalent education preferred
EXPERIENCE/SKILL SETS:
- One year hospital experience preferred.
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION(S):
- None required

Compensation Disclosure in Accordance with Vermont Act 155
In compliance with Vermont Act 155, Brattleboro Memorial Hospital provides the compensation range for this position in good faith. The listed range represents the pay scale reasonably expected for a successful candidate based on factors such as relevant experience, education, internal equity, and market competitiveness. Final compensation will be determined during the hiring process.
