Job Overview:
The Intern will collaborate with the volunteer interns to support various departments and projects, gaining exposure to healthcare administration, patient services, and operational efficiency.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Must be enrolled in a Bachelor of Science in a health field or management science
- HS Diploma
Scheduling Requirements:
- Per Diem
- Day
Essential Functions:
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
- Interest in the healthcare industry
- Reliable and punctual
- Assist with special projects and initiatives as assigned
- Assist with the distribution of patient information and resources
- Compile and analyze data for reports and presentations
- Participate in project based learning and present capstone project to the hospital Executive Council at the conclusion of the internship
- Provide administrative support to various departments
- Provide support to patient navigation or patient experience initiatives
- Support the development and implementation of process improvements
