Job Description


Location: Midway, GA (Onsite; limited hybrid)

Reports to: Plant Controller

Position Summary

The Accounts Receivable Specialist manages customer invoicing, collections, and cash application to support site cash flow and financial accuracy. This role partners closely with operations, shipping, and finance to ensure timely billing and resolution of customer issues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and issue customer invoices
  • Apply customer payments and reconcile AR balances
  • Monitor aging and follow up on overdue accounts
  • Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies
  • Coordinate with sales, shipping, and finance on invoice accuracy
  • Support cash forecasting with accurate AR data
  • Assist with month-end close and AR reconciliations
  • Provide documentation for audits and acquisition diligence
  • Support with billing, cash receipts, and AR journal entries
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field preferred
  • 2–5 years of accounts receivable or billing experience
  • Manufacturing or industrial environment experience preferred
  • Strong communication and follow-up skills
  • ERP system experience required
