Job Description
Lake Regional Health System is looking for a dedicated, professional Surgical RN Staff Education Coordinator to join our Surgery team. This position is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating educational activities for new and current OR staff. With our state-of-the-art hospital and network of clinics, therapy sites, and pharmacies, Lake Regional offers a wide range of employment opportunities in our community.
Key Job Responsibilities
- Collaborates with nurse managers and staff to assess the learning needs and competencies of staff.
- Develops, implements, and evaluates educational plans/programs and utilizes methods, measurements, and tools to evaluate achievement of learning goals.
- Serves as a resource for staff in areas of program development, clinical practice, and professional development.
- Participates in the coordination and continuity of orientation programs, including preceptor programs.
Qualifications
Licenses/Certifications/Registration:
- Required Credential(s):
- Licensed Registered Nurse
- Preferred Credential(s):
- BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA).
Work Experience
- Two years of experience in a hospital setting required.
- Minimum 2 years of previous OR experience strongly preferred.
- Previous education experience is a plus, but not required.
Additional Requirements
- Annual Influenza vaccine required
