Position Description: SalSon is hiring Dispatchers in Manteno, IL

About the Role
SalSon Logistics is seeking a Dispatcher in Manteno, IL to support our growing operations. This is a critical role within the organization, responsible for ensuring freight moves efficiently, drivers are supported, and service levels are consistently met.

We are looking for someone who takes ownership, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is motivated to grow within the company.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and dispatch drivers to ensure on-time pickups and deliveries
  • Monitor routes, driver performance, and service levels in real time
  • Communicate effectively with drivers, customers, and internal teams
  • Problem-solve delays, service issues, and route changes quickly and efficiently
  • Optimize routing and load planning to maximize productivity
  • Maintain accurate records in dispatch and transportation systems
  • Ensure compliance with DOT regulations and company policies
  • Schedule Options: Monday- Friday or Sunday- Thursday
What We're Looking For
  • Prior experience in dispatch, logistics, or transportation operations
  • Strong communication and decision-making skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
  • High sense of accountability and ownership
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
  • Experience with TMS systems (TMW, McLeod, or similar) is a plus
