Job Description
- The primary role of the Manager of Sales & Corporate Partnerships (MSCP) is to generate revenue through corporate partnerships and group sales efforts. MSCP will be responsible for the successful implementation and tracking of all contracted partnership elements, as well as maintaining sponsorship inventory. As part of developing and maintaining relationships with corporate partners, MSCP will also supervise the Volunteer Coordinator (VC) and the Zoo’s effort to recruit both corporate and individual volunteers through the planning and execution of large projects, daily tasks and event staffing. Additionally, the MSCP will serve a key role in supporting the COO, Communications & Events Lead and Events Coordinator in the execution of special events and promotions. Lehigh Valley Zoological Society in a non-profit founded in 2004 with a mission to connect its community with nature to empower people to protect wildlife.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Corporate Partnerships
• Obtain and manage corporate partnerships for all sponsorship opportunities at LV Zoo, including special events and Winter Light Spectacular (WLS) sponsorships
• Ensure all partnership agreements are fulfilled and audited on both ends, providing COO a detailed list of required deliverables and staying up to date on fulfillment
• Create a sponsorship payment schedule and work with the finance department to ensure timely invoicing and payment receipt
• Maintain and advance sponsorship inventory, working with COO on creating and updating sales collateral as needed
• Create and update a sponsorship database with corporation's listings, contact names and information, communication logs and partnership history
• Manage all signage and ad creation related to sponsorship agreements
• Review sales with the COO quarterly and create strategies to enhance the sales potential of the Zoo, internally and externally
• Work with the Director of Development to steward corporate partners who express interest in philanthropic support of the Zoo
• Support departmental efforts in the planning and execution of special events, promotions and rentals
• Be familiar with the Zoo’s history, Mission Statement, current accomplishments, and future goals
Group Sales
• Create programs, strategies and outreach to enhance performance of Zoo’s group sales, working with Group Sales Liaison (GSL) to plan and execute efforts
• Track group sales monthly, ensuring progress in number of bookings and monitoring the need for GSL follow-up with potential leads
• Work with GSL to build and maintain a group sales history database to use for annual outreach and to track all communications
• Consult Education department on best practice to incorporate programming messaging while not duplicating outreach efforts
Volunteer Program
- Create schedules for VC and Guest Engagement Ambassador (GEA) to ensure daily coverage in-season and at special events
- Along with VEC, ensure adequate recruiting, training and promotion of volunteers, corporate volunteers, docents and GEAs
- Along with VEC, create and maintain a database of corporate liaisons to support volunteer requests and needs to accomplish Zoo projects and goals
- Support VEC to ensure adequate coverage of Zoo areas attended by volunteers as well as quality and quantity of token activities and crafts
All other duties as assigned
SKILLS COMPETENCIES
• High proficiency in all areas of Microsoft Office to include Outlook, Work, Excel and PowerPoint.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Associate degree in related field Preferred
High School Diploma with a minimum of 5 years of related work experience
Must possess a valid driver’s license
Adjusting workdays and hours to accommodate attendance at signature events, special promotions and Winter Light Spectacular; all which require some availability on weekends, holidays and evenings
