Job Overview

Perfetto Enterprises Co Inc is seeking an experienced Construction Foreman specializing in concrete and asphalt pavement work to lead crews on heavy civil infrastructure projects throughout Queens and Brooklyn. This role is responsible for supervising field operations related to grading, concrete roadbase installation, curb and sidewalk work, and asphalt pavement placement.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who understands NYC site operations, can coordinate crews and equipment efficiently, and ensures that work is completed safely, on schedule, and to the highest quality standards. This position plays a critical role in maintaining production, quality control, and jobsite safety across multiple municipal and infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Supervise and coordinate daily field operations for grading, concrete roadbase installation, and asphalt paving projects

  • Lead and manage crews performing curb, sidewalk, roadway, and pavement construction

  • Interpret project plans, specifications, and layout drawings to ensure work is completed accurately

  • Coordinate equipment operators, laborers, and subcontractors to maintain productivity and workflow

  • Oversee site preparation, grading, and compaction activities prior to concrete and asphalt placement

  • Ensure proper installation of concrete forms, roadbase materials, and asphalt pavement

  • Monitor jobsite safety and enforce OSHA regulations and company safety policies

  • Conduct daily planning and communicate schedules, tasks, and expectations with crews

  • Maintain jobsite organization, quality control, and efficient material use

  • Report project progress, issues, and material needs to project managers and superintendents

  • Assist with problem-solving and adjustments to maintain schedules and meet project deadlines

Qualifications
  • Required
    • 5+ years of experience in heavy civil construction or roadway construction

    • Proven experience supervising crews performing grading, concrete roadbase, and asphalt paving

    • Strong knowledge of NYC construction practices and safety regulations

    • Ability to read and interpret construction plans, layout drawings, and grade stakes

    • Strong leadership and communication skills to manage crews effectively

    • OSHA 10 Certification or willingness to obtain

  • Preferred
    • OSHA 30 Certification

    • Experience working on union or public infrastructure projects

    • Knowledge of NYC DOT standards and roadway construction practices

    • Experience coordinating multiple trades and heavy equipment operators

  • Additional Skills
    • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities

    • Ability to manage multiple jobsite tasks while maintaining safety and quality standards

    • Dependable, detail-oriented, and capable of working in physically demanding environments

    • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions

Schedule
  • Full-Time Monday to Friday

  • Occasional weekend work may be required depending on project schedules and deadlines.
