About This Position
POSITION SUMMARY
The Wellness Coach Summer Intern will assist in the development, implementation, and evaluation of wellness initiatives aimed at promoting the physical, mental, and emotional well-being of employees (or community participants). This role offers hands-on experience in health coaching, wellness programming, and organizational engagement.
LOCATION AND HOURS
- Onsite, Fort Wayne, Indiana
- Monday through Friday 8am to 5PM
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support the design and delivery of wellness programs (e.g., fitness challenges, mindfulness sessions, nutrition workshops).
- Conduct individual or group wellness check-ins under supervision.
- Assist in collecting and analyzing wellness program participation data and feedback.
- Create educational materials such as newsletters, posters, or online content to promote wellness activities.
- Coordinate logistics for wellness events, including scheduling, communication, and resource preparation.
- Research current trends in workplace wellness, fitness, and health promotion.
- Collaborate with HR, interns, and external wellness partners to enhance program engagement.
REQUIREMENTS
MUST HAVE
- Current undergraduate or graduate student in Health Promotion, Exercise Science, Nutrition, Psychology, Public Health, or related field.
- Strong interest in holistic wellness and helping others achieve health goals.
- Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, or wellness app platforms (e.g., MyFitnessPal, Headspace, etc.).
