About This Position
Position Summary:
The Operating Room Inventory Coordinator (ORIC) will oversee and maintain all supplies and equipment for the department of surgical services.
Qualifications:
Education:
-
High school diploma required.
-
Associate degree in business related field preferred.
Experience
-
Three (3) years of clinical Operating Room experience required.

Previous materials management experience preferred.
Licensure/Certification/Registration

Duties & Responsibilities:
-
Oversight of the Warehouse Clerk’s to ensure accurate and timely delivery of OR supplies.

Oversight of replenishment quantity, specification and delivery requirements per requisitions received.

Independently responsible for creating procedures to standardize purchasing routines to improve current purchasing arrangements.

Will manage and oversee the Bill Only process, duties include negotiating contracts with vendors, issuing purchase orders for materials, matching purchase orders with invoices, following up on backorders, and resolve any invoice discrepancy disputes with suppliers.

Oversee the OR Inventory supply process from scheduling inventory, communications, findings, and action planning and implementation of changes, based on findings of inventory outcome.

Has direct oversight of CMC’s GHX Vendormate system. Which includes registering new vendors in the electronic system, registering new vendors, and ensuring vendors have clearance, based on CMC’s policies and procedures.

Oversee the Recall process which consists of assisting internal customers with recall inquiries, identifying affected product including on-hand inventory, and product removal.

Ensure the system is up to date and will work with all necessary departments to review contracts for Vendor systems, as well as make any updates necessary to policies and procedures.

Provide exemplary customer service in all interactions.

Work effectively and collaboratively with nursing colleagues, physicians, department heads, and members of executive leadership.

Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Explorer.

Effectively utilize strong organizational skills.

Consistently display effective verbal and written communication skills.
-
Proficient understanding and use of technology/PC skills required.

Regularly exercise independent judgement.
-
Completes other duties as assigned by department leadership.
