About This Position
Department: Laboratory Analytical Services
Status: Full-Time, 2nd Shift 3:30pm - 11:30pm Non-Exempt (Hourly)
Reports To: Laboratory Supervisor
We are seeking a detail-oriented Laboratory Technician II to perform analytical testing that supports the reliability and longevity of electrical equipment. In this role, you’ll conduct chemical analyses on insulating liquids, ensure accurate data reporting, and contribute to a safe, efficient, and team-focused laboratory environment.

What You’ll Do- Perform routine laboratory testing following established procedures and standards
- Ensure all work meets quality and accuracy requirements
- Prioritize and process samples based on service level and receipt date
- Accurately enter and report test results in lab systems
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and perform routine instrument maintenance
- Maintain clean, organized, and compliant workspaces
- Follow all safety protocols and proper PPE requirements
- Support training and development of other lab team members as needed
- Assist with additional lab duties as assigned
Education & Experience
- Coursework in Chemistry, Biology, or related field; OR
- Associate degree, vocational science degree, or equivalent experience
- 2–3 years of laboratory experience preferred
- Experience performing tests typically handled by a Laboratory Technician I
Technical Skills
- Experience with analytical instrumentation such as:
- ICP (Inductively Coupled Plasma)
- HPLC / UPLC
- Gas Chromatography (DGA and PCB)
- Ability to troubleshoot instruments and perform routine maintenance
- Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Outlook) and data entry systems

- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs
- Ability to work a regular 8-hour shift (5 days/week)
- Flexibility to work overtime during peak demand
- Regular use of vision, hearing, and verbal communication
