Job Summary

The Gas Turbine Mechanic performs hands-on inspection, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of gas turbines and related equipment in a shop-based environment. This role is critical to ensuring equipment operates safely, reliably, and efficiently. This is an onsite position at a fixed facility (not a field service role). You’ll be part of a hands-on team focused on quality rebuild and repair work—no travel, just real work in a shop environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs on gas turbines and associated equipment
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and control system issues, and identify root causes
  • Execute preventive maintenance activities to minimize downtime and extend equipment life
  • Follow all safety protocols, procedures, and applicable industry standards
  • Document maintenance, repair, and inspection activities accurately and in a timely manner
  • Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to optimize turbine performance
  • Assist with installation, commissioning, and testing of turbine units and components
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:

Qualifications

  • Experience as a Gas Turbine Mechanic or in a similar role within power generation or an industrial environment
  • Working knowledge of gas turbine systems, components, and maintenance practices
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and engineering drawings
  • Proficiency with diagnostic tools and testing equipment
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Effective communication skills

Education and Certifications

  • Technical training or certification in mechanical, electrical, or related field preferred
  • Relevant industry certifications are a plus

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to perform manual labor, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
  • Ability to work in confined spaces and at heights as required

Work Environment

  • Onsite, industrial setting with exposure to machinery, noise, and varying temperatures
  • This role is based at a fixed facility; travel is not a regular requirement
