Pharmacy Resident Position Summary

Works collaboratively with the health care team to provide a comprehensive scope of clinical pharmacy services which help optimize medication use, enhance patient safety, and ensure effective resource management by using appropriate pharmacoeconomic principles. The inventory, distribution/delivery of medications may be required.

Pharmacy Resident Position Requirements

Education

• Pharm.D. degree from an accredited school of pharmacy.
• Post-BS Pharm.D. Required. Major required: Pharmacy
• Current Maryland pharmacy licensure or eligibility;
• ASHP hospital residency.
• Membership in the following are recommended: ASHP, ASPEN ACCP.
• BLS & ACLS required upon 90 days of hire.

Experience

• Previous experience as Clinical Pharmacist desirable.

Pharmacy Resident Schedule

• Works Monday through Friday. May be called evenings or weekends about new pharmacy consult requests.
• May need to follow-up on patients on evenings and weekends.
