Vice President Ambulatory Services

Southwestern Vermont Health Care (SVHC), a member of the Dartmouth Health system, is seeking an experienced healthcare operations leader to oversee the organization’s ambulatory practices and ancillary hospital services.

About the job:

Reporting to the SVHC Chief Operating and Financial Officer, the Vice President of Ambulatory Services develops processes and procedures to support clinical priorities, quality and safety goals, and optimize patient access. This role serves as a strategic partner to clinical department chairs and nursing leadership and is responsible for developing clinical initiatives to meet the needs of the populations served and focus on financial stewardship.

The successful candidate will possess:

  • Strong business and financial acumen
  • The ability to analyze financial data and apply quantitative analysis to decision making
  • Experience implementing a comprehensive strategic plan with a high degree of professionalism and integrity
  • A demonstrated track record of leading, managing and measuring change within a health care delivery system

This role is based on-site at Southwestern Vermont Medical Center in Bennington, VT.

Minimum qualifications:

Qualified candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree and have a minimum of 5 years of healthcare leadership experience in a complex, integrated health system with a group practice environment. Master’s-level education in Business Administration, Health Administration, or a related field is preferred.
